In Matthew, Chapter 16, Jesus asked His disciples, "Whom do men say I, the son of man am"? Jesus' disciples had more than a few answers from the people. Some said that Jesus was John the Baptist who had come back from the dead. Others thought that Jesus could me Elijah or one of the prophets.
Jesus put Simon Peter on the spot and asked him, "who do you say I am"? Simon Peter said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God". Jesus went on to declare to Simon Peter that flesh and blood did not reveal the TRUTH to him, but that the Father from heaven did.

I have been going through some challenges in the area of faith recently and this scripture came to my heart. I had to really think about my response to that question..."Who do you Karen say that I am.". My spirit says that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of the Living God. However, sometimes my flesh gets so weary from the daily challenges of life that I don't know what to say. Then the spirit of the Living God whispers in my ear and says; Jesus Christ is the provider, the Healer, the Shepherd, the Banner, the Protector, the Father , the Prince of Peace, the Rose of Sharon, the Mighty God, the very present help in the time of trouble and SO much more. That's the TRUTH of the matter. So it doesn't matter what I am feeling at the time, or what I even think at the time. The TRUTH is ALWAYS the TRUTH!
Today, I challenge you to KNOW the TRUTH about who Jesus Christ is in your life today. He is EVERYTHING you NEED Him to be, when you need Him to be that very thing. Sometimes, it's hard for me to understand how the disciples could walk with Jesus for so long and SEE the miracles that He performed and still doubt who He is. Then God reveals my own heart to me. He ask me, "how is it that you Karen keep forgetting ALL of the marvelous things I've done in you and through you?"
What about you my friend? Are you wondering who Jesus is to you? You may be going through a time of trails and feeling as though you are all alone. The TRUTH of the matter is, you are NEVER alone, because God is always with you and He promised in His word, that He would NEVER leave you or forsake you and that He'd be with you ALWAYS even until the end of time. So the question remains...whom do YOU say IAM?
